Had a fabulous day out at Amerton Farmwith Ben, Tom and Livvy.  After having a ride on the roundabout we had a look at the few animals they have there and then it was a fight to see who could get on the old tractor first but all three decided they'd get on together.  We then spent most of the time in the playbarn which they all loved.

Legoland Discovery Centre

Had a lovely day with my daughter in law and grandchildren at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester http://www.legolanddiscoverycentre.co.uk/manchester/. It's a great day out for kids, they get to build lots of lego and there's rides and a cinema showing a 10 minute 4D lego film.  Ben, Tom and Livvy loved it and it keeps them occupied for hours.

About to watch a 4D film, those glasses are fab.  Believe it or not first time I'd seen anything in 4D and yep I tried to swat something that was flying at me, made out of lego too I might add

Third week of school holidays

Here I am into the third week of the school holidays and I'm feeling pretty yeuk.  Have had a chest infection that is taking it's time going.  I've just finished a second course of antibiotics and am now on steroids but beginning to feel rather fed us as I was going to my mam's at the weekend and I now don't know if I'mgoing to be well enough to drive the 3 hours to get there, and my aunt is coming over from Canada so it would be nice to see her too, and the rest of the family as I've not been up for ages. 
I've only been out about 5 times in the last three weeks.  Walked into town, only a 10 minute walk but I was absolutely shattered by the time I got back.
Had a lovely day out though on Tuesday with my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren at Leicester Space Centre.  It took it out of me walking round and I was in my bed for half eight when we got back. I can't believe just how low I feel but mustn't grumble there are plenty of people worse than me.  I'm just not gonna be happy if I can't get to see my mam and family.  The kids loved the space centre, we went into the planetarium which was good butI wouldn't recommend the looking at stars one as it was a bit boring.  Just a woman I couldn't understand pointing out where the stars were, there was no interaction and the kids were not one bit interested whereas the planetarium show itself was very good.

I managed to take one picture at the Space Centre and here it is, albeit not a good one. I'll replace it with one off my phone when I get chance as I took this one off facebook and it's taken the top part off.  

Race for Life - along with 4 other friends from church I took part in the Race for Life for Cancer Research. This was the first time I'd ever done and I have to say we walked rather than run.  Bekki did run though and did it in 36 mins.  We took just over an hour.  The weather was kind to us too as it had been raining but as soon as the race started the rain stopped and by the time we finished we saw some blue sky.  It was a very humbling and emotional experience but worth every step.  A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us.

Sleepover

Had thoughts of a quiet night in on Saturday then my daughter in law text me to ask if my grandchildren could sleep over.  The answer was ofcourse 'yes', so I had a lovely night watching TV and chatting.  Tom and Livvy just wanted to talk all night whereas Ben was content just watching Cloudy Meatballs.  They all went to sleep really well, albeit very late and yes up early so we could go and feed the ducks.

 Livvy kept giving the ducks a whole slice of bread but then she got the hang of it and realised small pieces were best.  Tom didn't want the daddy ducks to have all the bread he said he needed to keep some for the mommy ducks because they would need it more.

 So cute sitting beside the tree and underneath, while they do look as if they are behind bars they are standing at Speakers Corner.  They all wanted to say something but then couldn't think of anything to say.  I did get them on video on my phone but for some reason I can't upload it unless its sideways.  If I manage to work it out I'll post them.

Bower Day

After yesterdays heavy rain, today turned out to be a dry and fairly sunny day which made for a better Bower Day procession than expected. It was a lovely afternoon. Marc came over with Ben, Tom and Livvy and we watched the procession go past. It's a shame that the floats are getting less and less each year but the kids really enjoyed it.  Just a few pics of the procession.
