Two birthdays and a wedding

So, here we are, May already and some warmer days coming I hope. Its been a busy couple of months with birthdays and weddings, none of them mine. 

My grandson Tom had a birthday in March which he enjoyed and we had a lovely meal at the Blockhouse to celebrate.

My grandaughter Livvy celebrated her birthday at Miller and Carter where we had another lovely meal. 

Then friends wedding. It was a beautiful day and the bride looked stunning but I was too far away to get a good photo as I was helping on the screens at church but here's a few.

Lots of other things going on, my son tore his achilles heel and has been back and forth to hospital but hopefully he'll be out of the boot he's had to wear very soon.  

I then had a chest infection and that brings me upto date. I'm nearing the end of a course of antibiotics so hopefully chest will be clear soon and I'll get some energy back and get back to blogging more often. 

Christmas at the Cathedral

It seems such a long time since Christmas but I thought "hey why not add some pics of the Cathedral. It always looks nice and they have the charity tree festival where schools and businesses decorate Christmas trees and the public choose a winner"; so here they are although I can't seem to enlarge some of them.



 

An April morning

Wow, it never ceases to amaze me how time seems to fly and I promised myself I would blog more regularly. Clearly, I didn't but here I am today, full of cold, been coughing for a week and sneezing last few days but thankful I am testing negative for covid and feeling much better than yesterday. 

A lovely April morning today that brought the sun, rain, hail and a rather cold wind so thought I'd share some of the lovely spring pics I took at the beginning of the month.

Another lovely April morning  when the park looked so pretty with all the new planting of flowers. The birds were enjoying the sunshine and singing in the trees. It was very mild and so different from today. I love our English weather.

Took a little walk to the park the other day but kitty decided he'd like to come too. He got a little spooked and decided he didn't like it much so I ended up having to turn back. It's been beautiful weather over the last few weeks.

Life in general

I mentioned over on my Blessed Honeycombs page what is happening in our country and indeed all over the world with Covid19 the spread of the Corona virus.
Our country is in lockdown, shops are closed apart from supermarkets. There is social distancing and we are allowed out of our homes only once a day for exercise and essential shopping. There are queues at the supermarket with a 2 mtr distance from the person in front of you and only 5 or so people are allowed in at a time.

I've had a bit of an emotional week this week. No idea why but it started after the country came together and clapped for our NHS workers. My son is a paramedic and my daughter in law is a nurse. It was such an emotional time and I have to admit I cried as I stood on my doorstep applauding the wonderful work they all do but for the rest of the week and this week I have been tearful. Slightest thing sets me off, even my one bit of exercise walking round the local park. It was so very very quiet but beautiful. I think spring is my most favourite time of the year. I love to see the buds appearing on the trees and the flowers blossoming, so beautiful.
I have a new phone and can't fathom out how to post a picture. When I do I'll share some.
